Dr. Ambedkar Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarships for Economically Backward Class (EBC) Students

- Group A (Post-graduate courses in Medicine, Engineering, Ph.D., etc.): ₹750 for hostellers and ₹350 for day scholars.
- Group B (Graduate courses in various professional fields): ₹510 for hostellers and ₹335 for day scholars.
- Group C (BA, BSc, etc.): ₹400 for hostellers and ₹210 for day scholars.
- Group D (Non-degree courses): ₹260 for hostellers and ₹160 for day scholars.
Additional allowances include:
- Reader Charges for blind students.
- Study Tour Charges of up to ₹900 per year for professional courses.
- Thesis Typing/Printing Charges up to ₹1000 for research scholars.
Eligibility Criteria for Dr. Ambedkar Centrally Sponsored Scheme
- Indian nationals from the General Category (not SC, ST, or OBC) with an annual family income of less than ₹1,00,000.
- Students pursuing post-matric or post-secondary courses in government-recognized institutions.
- Only two male children from the same family are eligible, while there are no limits for girls.
- Employed students can apply if their income and their family’s income together don’t exceed ₹1,00,000 per annum.
Exclusions
- The scheme does not cover aviation-related courses like Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- Students who repeat a level of education with a different subject are not eligible.
- Scholarships do not apply to students already receiving coaching for competitive exams.

- Online Registration: Visit the National Scholarship Portal, create an account, and fill in required details.
- Application Form: Submit academic details, upload necessary documents, and submit the application online.

- Income certificate from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
